    Question about Dell XPS M1710???

    I have a dell xps m1710 and whenever it goes to sleep or i shut it off the blue media control buttons stay lite up blue. but if i pull the ac adapter out fromt he back it shuts off.. why is this? why does it even stay on? i know i need to get a new battery because mine is junk but still why would the lights stay on just on the media control buttons.

    If your battery is "junk", what happens if you do the above with the batter removed? Same thing?

    if i take the battery out it does the same thing.
