    Hey guys,

I had a weird problem yesterday with my XPS 1530. I was doing a presentation. Usually, I simply connect the VGA out to my notebook, hooking up to an LCD projector, and the screen options would come out, and my display would change for a moment, but the display would output on the LCD monitor, and still stay on my notebook.

However, yesterday I hooked it up and nothing came out of the LCD monitor. There was no automatic recognition that I plugged something into the VGA port. I had to plug it in multiple times, around 4 times, and then I switched settings by pressing Fn F8, and eventually the display came out on the LCD projector, but not on my notebook.

Does anyone know why this happened? It's never happened to me before. I'm not sure if it was the LCD projector's problem, or my VGA port.

Is there a setting a can restore to which automatically recognizes that I plugged in a VGA cable?
