Is it just an upgrade disc? Or can you use it to reformat and load the OS directly from scratch into Visat Ultimate?

Would like to hear from anybody that actually got theirs like this and then used the Vista disc.

You will have the option to upgrade or do a fresh installation. The main difference between this DVD you are getting, and the ones you can purchase at stores...is that the disc will check to see if Windows XP or some other Windows OS is currently installed on the hard drive.

[hint: for the Vista UPGRADE disc... it requires an existing OS(like XP or a lower-veresion of Vista)....OR:

just install Vista using the upgrade CD WITHOUT the cd key.... then 'upgrade' Vista(which means install again) and activate using the key.....)

but the DVD that dell gives u is a full version, and the key under ur laptop is a full key

and if u have a vista ultimate, call dell for a x64.. they will give u
