I have a Dell XPS 410 Desktop, but have since purchasing it, upgraded the hard drive and video card, my question is... if I have Dell fix an issue related to the DVD drive or video card, will they even bother fixing it since it is not OEM equipment from the time I ordered it?

    Thanks in advance

Unless you purchased the parts from Dell, they will not be obligated to fix it since they only cover parts from your original configuration, or upgrade parts bought from Dell themselves.

this is a laptop forum, so you won't get the best answer here....

i guess if there is something wrong with the dvd drive or the video card and the same problem appears with the default dvd drive or video card, you could call dell up(provided you still have warranty, and you still have the default parts)

keep the original parts... dell can't stop you from upgrading, but just keep them in case
