Hello guys, im a current Asus owner and im not too familiar with the way things go on the Dell side. I am thinking of ordering a XPS Studio 13 and I am seeing that the laptop should come with bluetooth. But, when i go to customize, i see that there is:
    "Dell Wireless 370 Bluetooth Module (2.1+EDR) [$25 or $1/month1]"

    My question is,
if this is not selected, does that mean my laptop will not come with bluetooth...? Or it will come with a lower standard bluetooth? Or i need to select that option if i wish to have bluetooth on my laptop? I thought bluetooth comes standard now in all laptops?

    Thanks in advance dell users.

(sorry if it may appear to be a n00b question, i just want to make sure my $25 is spent wisely, as there is an upgrade to 320GB's for $25)

Correct. You have to select the Bluetooth option which is extra $. If you don't have an immediate need for it, you can always purchase the card aftermarket later - eBay is cheapest (usually range from 14.00 and up). Just do a search for 'Dell Bluetooth 370'.

No worries. I forgot to add this as well in my post,

If you are comfortable with replacing the hard drive yourself and can handle a reinstall of the OS and setting up any missing drivers, you should consider going with the base hard drive and put the extra cash towards say a CPU upgrade @ time of purchase. Hard Drives are really cheap these days. The same goes for RAM - unless its a 6GB or 8GB configuration. 2GB SODIMMs are cheap now, somewhere in the area of 20-25 bucks.

    Anyway, just a thought.

"Batboy" is correct and has good advice.

I try to never buy things that I can easily install myself with Dell. Dell is one of the easiest to work on. I buy the basic WIFI card, no Bluetooth, less RAM, and sometimes smaller hard drives if the cost difference is right. Then get the upgrade parts online or ebay for less than 1/3 of the cost that Dell charges, and install myself.

Anyway, yes... If you do not select the Bluetooth option, you won't get any installed.
