I personal own the dell xps 13 (9350/2016 model) with intel iris 540 graphics, matter of fact I'm typing this reply here on this thread using it and the keyboard on the xps 13 right now.
I am also an avid typist, I can max out around 118~125wpm in some cases, it really just depends on the situation and what I am doing.
that being said, I have little to no problem with the keyboard on the xps 13, I do sometimes run into a few mistakes/type-o's here and there, but that's to be expected with any keyboard setting you have - you just make mistakes and hit the wrong keys sometimes !!
with everything ive said here, id like to point out that the keyboard on the xps 13 is relatively small given the small form-factor of this laptop, I mean it does have a footprint of that of a 12" (or is it 11"?) laptop - so you can expect the keyboard and its keys are going to be slightly different than that of other 13" laptops with the dell xps 13" - that doesn't necessarily mean its a bad keyboard for typing and/or everyday use compared to the traditional keyboard/layout your used too, it just means you will have to really use it a few times (literally a few times at most) to know where your fingers need to be placed before typing something up - I honestly came from a full-sized keyboard, the ones used with most basic desktop computers, I've never owned anything fancy in terms of computing, and I've really only ever used your basic standard wireless/Bluetooth keyboard for my computer usage - that being said, this dell xps 13's keyboard works flawlessly for me, every-time, anytime, point blank period.
its got a very soft and comfortable feel to it, and the key travel is decent given the small/thin form factor - its not overly-great, but its not average/un-premium either. I get a feel of premium when using this keyboard, and I really like it a lot - I would however prefer the dell xps 15, and its keyboard over this xps 13 keyboard - only because I didn't get the option to choose between the two - and I would assume the xps 15 to have a bigger-everything in terms of XPS (I bought this laptop on Facebook with my bartering skills, and actually made a HUGE come-up in terms of value).

my laptop is still under warranty for another 266 days, and the only issue I've run into with this machine is the dell update application that was installed on it when I received it. I periodically will get a notification from the dell update app stating there is 1 new update available and it urges me to install nearly every time I reboot or turn the laptop on; its for my graphics card, so it says "Intel HD Graphics" everytime in the "details" tab everytime I see it, really annoying..
I assume this has to do with production and software inside the machine, seeing how they made 2 different models that same year (2016) for this exact laptop, they had the "Intel Core
i7-6500U Intel HD Graphics 520" then came the "Intel Core i7-6560u Intel Iris 540 Graphics" - my assumption is that they have something within the dell update software which doesn't recognize the iris 540 graphics card over the HD Graphics 520 card, thus wanting to upgrade it. if not that exactly, its something relatively close to that - just I don't know what.

). I was perfectly happy with the old 2009-ish Sony Vaio VGN-Z790 keyboard (I've still got the laptop around), and I never expected keyboards to go so downhill from there. From what reviews say, Dell Latitude keyboards are generally much better than their XPS counter-parts (iow, business models have better keyboards).
