    Hi everyone,
I've just spent a large money for a XPS M1530 laptop.
    Everything seems to be OK.
But there's one thing I'm not crazy about is the SigmaTel audio used is my XPS.
The device works well but I couldn't find any sound control panel to optimize my audio(instead of the SigmaTel Audio in my system Control Panel). As you know, the RealTek AC97 audio driver always comes with a control panel software which appears in the system tray but the SigmaTel doesn't. What I wanna concern in this post is your help to finding out an audio control panel for my SigmaTel in order to customize my sound such as: manipulating the Equalizer(Rock, Pop, Techno ...), control output...

Thanks for your attention !!! :D

AFAIK, there is no exclusive control panel for sigmatel similar what we have with realtek (I have the realtek in my desktop too, with the nice CP)... but anyway, long back when i was trying to find a similar CP for sigmatel for my laptop, I realized there is nothing of that sort (or at least nothing that I came across) though there were mentions of doing something with the registry and adding new values and such.. but I have no idea.. and anyway, what I have right now, the default control panel from within windows is good enough with the bass boost and similar... with a good speaker or headphone, I think its good enough.. and in any case, I use the Winamp equalizer to get the best out of my music :) so there..

    Lovely response.
I'm agreed with you and I'm also interested in Winamp equalizer for a long time. And I have desktop with RealTek audio too.
But even through you have Winamp in both your XPS and your desktop, even through you turn on Winamp equalizer. Do you feel the much different sound coming from your your desktop with RealTek Control Panel (with equalizer in RealTek Control Panel) and the sound coming from single equalizer of Winamp in your XPS. I feel the sound from the desktop much more beautiful and impressive.
    More ideas please!!!
