Question on Dell XPS M1530 (PRODUCT) RED?

I wanted to know if the Dell XPS M1530 (PRODUCT) RED has the finger print reader, because it wasn't in the configurations when you customize the laptop on the Dell website.

And click the middle laptop which is the Dell XPS M1530, under it's little bullet description it says, "Includes biometric finger print reader and built-in webcam."

I don't know if it really does though, because when you customize the configurations the finger print reader option is not there. If anybody knows can you please tell me, I hope it comes with my order!!

 

Is it not standared on all M1530 systems?
i belive it is.
but im from Australia our product red has it standard as do all other versions.

 

hmmmmm I there just no option for it at all... I'm confused the link in my previous post says that it's included, but I saw no option when I ordered.

 

You are right it does not mention the finger print reader
but in the picture of the product red it does show it.
So i think its just not their because its standard and
does not need to be mentioned.

no worries, I just checked the UK site and it's in the config options: the
M1530 (PRODUCT) RED does have a fingerprint reader. Definitely.

so did your xps come with a finger print reader? i was googling this question and i found your post. i'm deciding between the black and the product red; the product red is actually cheaper with the same specs except for the fingerprint reader. the deal i found ends on thursday so i really hope you read this message since i can't seem to figure out how to pm! hehe

yeah, i've seen the product red with fingerprint readers and i remember seeing them listed with the fingerprint readers on dell's website. but now, it is not an option when i try to customize the configurations. so i was just wondering if they no longer make the product red with the reader since i have seen pictures and videos of the red xps w/o a reader... i hope they still do! thanks to anyone who can offer any information!

 

The reason it is not an option is not because it doesn't come with it but rather because you can't get it without it. I have only seen a few business configurations that let you opt out of it.
