I'll receive my XPS 1330 by mid of September, just want to know what problem i should expect from XPS 1330?

    My specs: XPS M1330, Intel Core 2 Duo Processor T7300 (2.0GHz/800MhzFSB, 4M L2 Cache), 4GB, DDR2, 667MHz 2 Dimm

Btw, I'm shifting from Sony Vaio SZ Series to XPS 1330....do i need to expect something good from XPS 1330 compare to SZ Series?

from what i read, it has cpu whine, and the slot-loading drive is pretty loud and can sometimes scratch the disk.

Aren't most slot-loading drives kind of loud?

Actually, the slot loading drive is not loud at all. There's a video out there where the drive is loud, but I think that guy was having a problem with it. Mine is very quiet, barely hear it at all. There are other spotty problems, like the resolution reseting itself after waking up from sleep. I had this several times, but none since.

resolution resetting: it's due to dell quickset program (power options). Just configure it the way you want and it'll be fine

That's all it is? In the M1330 owners thread people have been going back and forth on what they think the solution could be. Your M1330 comes out of sleep without any problems? Did you perform a clean install yet?

    i didn't receive yet mine.

why do i need to perform clean install? does M1330 come with a lot of bloatware like sony vaio?

regarding the resolution problem, is it hapenning only during sleep-to-ON mode?

also i have belkins 2.4GHz 802.11g wireless router, any idea if this will have problem with the new tech wireless N? do i need to update my router or im good with this?
