is there anyway to change the set-up of sleep mode?

everytime i open my laptop its start immediately after the sleep mode.

i want to hit any key first before it start from sleep mode, not start immediately when i open the laptop.

    thanks!

i'm not sure what you're asking....

are you asking if you can delay the laptop from coming out of sleep mode when you open your laptop, until you hit a certain button?

Check your BIOS, it could have a setting, not sure.

I think the only way to do this is to disable the "When I close the lid of my computer..." power feature. I believe (although I could be wrong) that when this is set to "No action" the hardware switch that tells if your laptop is open or closed no longer gets used. This means, though, that you'd also have to put your computer on sleep manually before closing the lid. Again, I'm not sure if it'll work that way...but it may.
