Well my story starts like this, I was one of the first to purchase the 1640's got a 1645 replacement due to throttling, and luckily i still had RGBLED. Do these laptops still come with RGBLED, and i see they also have new video cards, how do the 5730's run compared to the 4670.

The reason im asking is because, it seems that my motherboard most is malfunctioning recently, as well as random shut offs, most likely also a power issue. Im going to fight for another replacement, as this is just to much. :p

Looks like they cant replace it unless i had a few cases with the computers, and it cant be a new replacement but a refurbished replacement this time. But what they are doing is sending me the parts i need, and letting me replace it myself without the tech, since the techs do half jobs.

Instead of asking for a complete replacement, why don't you just ask for a motherboard replacement with a 5730. They might be more agreeable to that, and the end effect is the same.

Yeah, I would ask for a motherboard replacement first.

Haha, couldnt get the 5000 series, but they shipped me a new monitor, mobo, and palm rest. I replaced everything my self. But they sent the wrong Monitor, since i have an RGBLED, they sent the 15.6 WLED, now im waiting on that shipment, most likely will come in tomorrow! Seems the mobo was fried underneath, thats why it kept overheating and shutting down.
