- How long does the battery life last on average?
- Do the wifi issues still exist?
- How heavy is the laptop?
- Is it ideal to be bringing this laptop to university everyday?
- Anything else I should know? Is the laptop worth getting?
Thanks!![]()

1. I think people have gotten around 6, but some say the new BIOS' messed everything up and they only get 4 hours.
2. Yes
3. 5.8 lbs
4. Not sure, but I would think so.
5. IMO, no, because of the Wifi issue, but it might be worth asking others in the owners lounge. -

2) Yes! Apparentely BIOS A12 is coming, Brace yourselves!
3) Havier than it looks.
4) I can´t see why not. The alumminium cover looks pretty solid and resistent.
5) Throttling on heavy usage, grid issues, touchpad issues, ODD noise at random. Worth getting ? No, unless you are thinking in using it only on your room side by your router and only to access facebook. -
What's this BIOS people keep speaking of?

1. Had mine for 2 months, and lucky if I get 2 hours. I'm sure I could set it up to go longer though.
2. YEP, FIN POS, I'm going to need to get a usb key for wifi, my cellular key flies compared to the wifi, which slows down to less than dial up speeds.
3. Not bad if you are a brick layer, but seems extremely sturdy.
4. Don't see why not.
5. This is why I registered to respond, perhaps I can save you, NO FIN WAY, and while I'm at it, stay away from DELL, I'm still paying for an alienware that's currently residing in a drawer in my garage, literally went up in smoke almost 2 years to the day I bought it and I also had support in my kitchen 3 times fixing the screen which would start to flop around within 3 months. In addition there is something wrong with the connection to the screen, screen goes haywire if laptop or screen moved.
