    I'm really curious if the nvidia 8600M GT for the XPS laptops are GDDR3... o_O

    and ALSO, is the memory on the vid card expandable? because on my vista display settings, it says:

    Total Available Graphics memory: 1535MB
    Dedicated Video Memory: 256MB
    System Video Memory: 0MB
    Shared System 1279MB

    sooo uhhh... what the heck? lool

    Yes the 8600GT in the XPS1530 is GDDR3. And that info you listed is the GPU borrowing ram from the system,not really much use for the 8600GT GDDR3 anyway.

    It's definitely GDDR3.
