    Hello, Newbie here,

I am planning to buy a Dell XPS M1530, and I have a few questions on it.

I do a bit of travelling every week to college and want to get the most out of the 6 cell batery, as I dont want to get the 9 cell batery and was wondering,

    1. Would a ccfl display take more battery life than a led display, as I heard the led displays are more energy efficient?

    2. Would a 160gb 7200rpm hard drive take more batery power to run, than a
    160GB 5400rpm?

    3. Would there be a big difference between the T7250 processor and the
T7500 processor in terms of power comsumtion.

Minor differences in the first 2 cases I think.

Processors are evolving quickly so I'd get the T7500 or T7700 which should do until Nehalem, bypassing Penryn which is only a half way house to better things in Q3/4.

If you are worried about the 9 Cell's size, don't be, I got it and it's created a nice angle for typing whilst giving me that little extra for journeys on trains withut plug sockets.

the led is energy efficant so it will use up less battery power
