I have a M1730 with SLI 8700GTs, and I'm wondering about my options upgrading the graphics cards. I see people selling SLI 8800M GTX setups for the M1730 for about 749.00 but some others have posted they upgraded to the 9800GTX.

I already installed dual 500 gig momentus drives, and I'm thinking that if I upgrade the graphics cards I could really get some more miles out of this laptop.

Also where do you guys recommend I get the cards? I don't even find the 9800mGTX SLI for sale at the moment.

    Thanks guys.

The cards are really rare at the moment, the 9800M GTXes can only be found in eBay. I sold one 9800M GT SLI for $589 after a $150 starting bid. And of course, unless your cards are failing Dell might give you a replacement card. Ha, and if you're lucky you may get a 9800M GTX.

9800M GTX SLI is a great card for the M1730. I've had the 8800M GTX the last time but I sold it for $710 and bought a 9800M GTX SLI for $699; it was from eBay and I somewhat made a profit.
