    Hi, I have a SXPS 1640.

There appears to be an issue regarding my RAM.

Recently, I re-ran WEI and my score for RAM dropped from 6.2 to 5.9.

Curious, I checked on the System page and saw although I have 4.00 GB of RAM installed, only 2.96 GB is usable (normally 3.96 GB).

I verified this through Task Manager (a constant 1.7 GB is being used) and Resource Monitor (total listed as 3036 MB).

Any idea what the problem could be?

I am using 4.00 GB of DDR3 RAM @ 1067 MHz. Manufacturer is Samsung.

Don't rely on WEI to be a true benchmark of your system. AFAIK all SXPS should be 64 bit from the factory.

Did you recently use MSCONFIG and change boot or other options?

Run MSCONFIG and in boot option UnTick the "Maximum Memory" check box. Reboot and you are done.
