Agree...I cant wait for the full review. The design is growing on me slowly but I still prefer the look of the old XPS and SXPS.

Thanks for the link. Good review.

Does anyone know when other outlets will get their
    review (usually fully spec'd) units?

Dell XPS 14 Notebook Review - HotHardware

Here is the updated link for the previous review. Looks good.
Im seriously consdering getting the 15inch variant as it comes with usb3.0 and a 1920x1080 RGB screen option. Just want to know about how hot and noisy it gets.

Cool...glad to see it's solid as a rock, but yeah I agree, I want to see more besides benchmarks. I still want to know about temperature/noise, screen quality and battery life.

Good first review, but like many have said, I'd like to see some other qualities other than just benchmarks. Also, thought they made an odd choice of battery and gaming benchmarks (BatteryEater only, and H.A.W.X instead of something more popular like Starcraft II or WoW?). What I thought was really mind-boggling about the review is that the reviewer keeps mentioning and comparing this to netbooks. I don't care how this compares to netbooks because it's obviously bigger and more powerful. I'd rather see some comparisons to other notebooks in its class, although it appears they don't regularly review laptops, so they probably don't have much to compare with in the first place.

The first reviews are usually Dell sponsored. You're going to have to wait a while longer until sites like Anandtech publish a tome on the hardware in question//

Ick. That review is pretty worthless without something to compare all the benchmarks too.

Anandtech will be geting an XPS 15 on friday which is good. Hopefully they will get straight into testing it :)

They have done a pretty good initial roundup/first thoughts of them all though:
