My XPS1530 only came with 2GB of ram. I want to upgrade but have a few questions.

    1) Which manufacturer is best? Can someone please post a link to ram they have purchased and found good performance?

    2) Is the max amount of ram we can put in the XPS1530 4GB?

    Thanks!

    1. usually the cheapest, since you are not going to OC, etc. I think powerpack said it is all made by 5 manufacturers and then rebranded. Kingston, crucial, etc.

    2. Yes, 4gb

EDIT- Found a post by powerpack:

Pretty much all ram is made by Hynix, Samsung, Qimonda and 2 others i believe, then as nobscot said they are rebranded; basically just try to find one with a lifetime warranty and you should be good.
