This is really silly, but what's the difference between the XPS m1330 and the Studio XPS 13?

As far as I can tell the Studio has the new processor (am I correct in understanding that the m1330 doesn't?) and better graphics options... and the new design, backlit keyboard, etc - but it's also a pound heavier?

I'm a little boggled by why it would be *heavier* of all things, and why have the new model instead of just putting the new components into the m1330 - is it sort of a blend between the lower end models and the XPS line? Will the XPS line be discontinued eventually or is a refresh expected, just further along in time?

Also, Studio XPS 13 = Studio XPS 1340? Dumb I know but just making sure. :p

    Thanks :)

Well the XPS 13 (official name) has a different body... The XPS 1340/M1340 was the unofficial name before the XPS13 was released afaik.
As for the differences: Well you said it already.

you will hardly notice the weight difference, i owned a m1330 with a 9cell now own a 1340 with a 9cell and theres not to much of a difference, the 1340 is a better built laptop in my eyes, but there are pros and cons of both

Er... what do you mean by different body - what is the 1340 then?

also - is there an XPS refresh expected at some point?

    thanks again. :)

I think the XPS 13 is the replacement for the 1330.
