    Hi guys

Due to technical problems, I'm having my motherboard replaced by a technician tomorrow. There used to be a topic on this forum about some sort of "special" installation of Vista on the M1530 (one driver was loaded during setup). Does this still apply to the new driver versions?

    Best regards,
    Gilles

If you installing Vista with SP2 it should already be within the setup.
Any how you can go i nto your bios and select Hard drive and change the settings to ATA (standard) from AHCI and save settings in bios. Once you have installed Vista you need ti install the intel drivers (Matrix drivers) chipset drivers once these are installed you can go back i nto your bios and set your HDD back to AHCI mode and save settings.
I might be incorrect in the above guide been a while since I untook such a task but check in the thread someting to the effect "XP works or XP install on M1330 XPS.
    Good luck.

Well, my mobo just got replaced and I apparently it isn't necessary to re-install Vista. I hope the technical problems are solved now.
