To me, the specs match to each other so it should be a nice replacement.

 

You get a better CPU, GPU and Speakers why not?

 

I am also receiving the replacement option from Dell for my 1340. What factor make this unit better or worth than the 1340? Why is the CPU and GPU considered better.

 

cpu- core i5 460m is much better than a p8700/p8600 due to HT and turbo boost, smaller die size (32nm) leading to less heat. GPU is better too! your a lucky one

 

I hope so I love the design of my Studio XPS 1340 when it works. Although the heat on it is crazy. It get so hot. I get it today so we shall see.
