    I just had a replacement done on my LED. I had a Samsung and now got a Toshiba. I feel that the Sasmung had better brightness and more vibrant colors. The Dell tech tells me that Samsung is not longer manufactured...Has anyone who ordered recently gotten a Samsung LED?

    To check, go to display settings, advanced setting, monitor, properties, details, hardware Ids:

    LCD2306= Toshiba
    SEC5441= Samsung

    Thanks in advance.

    Ordered one for a family member this month arrived March 9th, came with a Samsung - it's very good display. Not as good as the LED on the SXPS1340, but still very sharp.

    I recently got my old XPS m1330 replaced due to problems with the LCD display. The new laptop's display is Samsung (SEC5441) and I would like to know whether anyone has figured out the right color settings, because now the colors have a blue tint to it.

    Hey i have toshiba and it has also like very "cold" colors... everything is blueish.. i tryed to play with nvidia settings but it doesnt help.. well i actually was comparing it to my other s-pva monitor... so i guess its not so smart comparing a tn to s-pva but i can clearly see too many blue and too less red.. someone else has it also? a general toshiba problemm?

    Well, I got another sxps 13 today.. this one with an LG led screen

    im torn between the samsung on my one sxps and this lg, the lg seems to have more vibrant colors (especially red); but my samsung is definitely sharp/clearer, and the whites are whiter (the lg has some yellowness)

    I'm likely gonna keep the samsung, i dont really feel like taking apart these machines yet another time.

    btw dell quality control sucks; on this new machine with the lg lcd; the keyboard backlighting doesnt work (im assuming they didnt connect the cable properly).. and a couple of the parts arent put together right (small gaps where there shouldnt be)... both issue can be easily fixed if i took the machine apart, but im just gonna retun this one too.. I was just curious how the lg screen would look, hence why i even accepted this order
