Anybody know how to record sound that the soundcard put out on Windows Vista? Basically I want to record "internal" music, not using the microphone. For example, if I'm playing something from a movie and I'm talking, it will record only the sound from the movie. Thank you in advance.

remove the movie part from your post and I might help

You can try this program iSofter
Alternatively, you should be able to do this with the sound mixer in Vista. -

I was thinking a movie as in Batman sort of dvd.
but never mind that then... I would use Goldwave to record every thing that happens in the PC and disable the mic. the goldwave is free just ignore the nag message.
And you were right I was way to fast to draw the gun thanks for putting that strait atbnet -

theres a driver hack that uses some other driver.... that has stereo mix enabled.... but u wont get to use the 2nd headphone plug since that driver doesnt have that... -
Who really needs 2 headphone plugs anyway? The fact is, at least Stereo mix works. The second headphone plug that won't work after installing is the middle.
Record what the soundcard put out?
