    Hi !

I usually use Audicity to record some stuff from the Internet. It seems I can't do that with my XPS M1530 due to the fact that I can't use "Stereo Mix" because of the Dell's divers of their sound card.

Is there any way to solve that problem ?

    Thanks in advance

Search the forum. This is a much discussed area. The stereo mix funtionality has been disabled at driver level. Your hardware supports it, Dells Vista drivers do not.

The work around is to install Dell's XP drivers in compatability modeon vista. You get stereo mix but lose mic-in and one headphone port.

I can't remember where to get the driver but instructions are definitely on this forum somewhere.

Thanks for answering. Fixed by getting and installing the XP's drivers. Work fine. ;)
