I've had my L502X for about 3 weeks now with no problems. I use an external wired mouse plugged into the back USB port and have never noticed a freezing issue.

The cpu temps seem to get a bit high, but I've never noticed the heat on the outside of the laptop. I also think the high temps are more a function of intel's new TurboBoost 2.0 than anything else. I find battery life to be excellent given that I have an i7 2720QM.

No USB problems, but my touchpad can be jumpy when I go from moving the cursor to tapping. Sometimes the cursor will jump away from the spot I left it, and I'll end up tapping something else.

Have you tried adjusting the sensitivity of the touchpad?
