I'm seeing these almost -50% prices on refurbished XPS M1330 models on eBay, and I started wondering what rights would I have with one of these if something isn't right?
I mean could I call directly to Dell if there's a dent above the screen or something like that? I'm asking because there's no M1330 in Dell UK or Ireland Outlet, nor do the coupon codes here work on European Dell pages either, so a price of 600e-700e sounds really tempting...
See ebay.ie or ebay.co.uk yourself in case you're wondering![]()

nah, id advise you stay the hell away from ebay.
if theirs warranty then maybe and thats a big maybe. -
Hey there, I can't really answer your question about what rights you'll have - most likely none - unless it's stated that warranty is included, also make sure to check what kind of warranty they include, if it isn't the original Dell warranty the conditions for returning the laptop might be very different. I got some other tips for you, though.
There's coupons for every country where they sell Dell, if you go to Google and do a "Dell uk coupon code" search (without the ") you'll get codes working for your country. I'm from Sweden and I found a 10% off code for Sweden which I used with success.
In Europe there's usually only 1-2 coupon codes per month, and they're valid for around a week, meaning there isn't a working code at all times.
I'm really happy I ordered my configuration last week, they raised the prices a lot in this week + there's currently no coupon code. Keep your eyes open for a good deal, they usually change prices and offers every week.
Edit:
The current UK coupon code for 15% off on any XPS laptop is: TWJ?$?2J$RNVD2 expires on September 1, last day to use it is today. But there'll be another one soon, I'm sure.
Edit #2:
It seems the above code isn't working when I tried, I probably did something wrong or it's already expired.
Edit #3:
I just read it'll only work if you order it through the "small business" section, didn't give it a try though. -
If the seller on ebay is offering Dell's own warranty (and many of them are), he will have a warranty-code for this specific laptop. You can ask for this code from him, and check on Dell's homepage that it is in order. Also make sure that the warranty is transferable to a other owner. Someone said only 3yr-warranties or longer can be transferred, but i'm not sure if that's true...

Dell Outlet UK currently has Tag FPS3W3J for sale.

I bought a M1210 on eBay with complete care for $800 and resold it for $1000
I also bought two M1330s, one of which I'm keeping. Both still have their dell warranties intact for another two months. -
I bought my M1530 on e-bay and saved about $500. It was brand new, not refurbished and I got it with all of the extras that they don't ship with anymore. Try to get the 'service code' from the sale if you have questions.

My guess is these would be Outlet computers and the seller is just trying to make some quick money off of them. If you look hard enough you can find some under priced notebooks and possibly sell them for a lot more.

i got my M1530 from ebay, from seller e-computers.. he has sold more than 20.000 dell laptops.
its with the 3year onsite waranty - i got 1073 days left of the warranty
today, he transfered the warranty to me. there is a simple form on the dell site for that..
anyway.. i'm happy with the laptop
and check out that seller.. -
Yeah EComputers is one of the bigger sellers that caught my eye there. I have to keep following sales there...
