    Hello, everyone,

I am considering buying a Dell XPS 15z or XPS 17, but today I found out the battery is not user-removable. What a nasty detail. I am planning to use the laptop as a desktop replacement, i.e. it will be running on AC 350 days a year and once in a while I may need battery.

Does it mean I cannot remove the battery, forget about it and use the laptop on AC power with an adapter?

Once your battery is fully charged the AC will pass it, so charging will be automatically disabled to save your battery duration.
