I just spent an hour chatting with Dell support. Guess they believe I have a bad Bluetooth Module. Anyone know how difficult it is to change this module? The manual gives some general ideas, but have read that you have to be extremely careful.

There is more than 1 XPS laptop, you havent said which you have.

I have a M1530, the bluetooth is easy to get at, you just unscrew 3 screws in the battery compartment, and then the front panel (with the media buttons) lifts off. Its attached via a ribbon cable so don't yank it off.

XPS 1530, only about 4 months old, but guess parts do go bad.
