    Replace Screen of Dell XPS 15 with HP Dreamcolor Display?

    thought about purcahseing hpzbook studio but heard people telling dell xps 15 is better

    hp z book studio 15 G3 comes out with dreamcolor display in may

    should I get th dell xps 15 and replace the full hd display with a dreamcolor HP would that work?


    does linux run on the dell xps 15 flawless ?

    I doubt the screen swap would work, but I don't know of anyone who has even considered it. Just get the laptop you want. The 4k screen in the 9550 is a great display, but if you really want the dreamcolor, get that.

    IF the DreamColor is a 10-bit pre primary color display like the previous generations of ZBook/Elitebooks had, then the answer will be a flat no. That said the 4K display in the 9550 is very high end for an 8-bit display, 100% aRGB coverage is there.

    no way if you could even get one.

    this would take some custom soldering and chips that dont exist.
