I received a replacement XPS M1330 today, 10 days after I received the original. The original XPS M1330 came with bios version A07, the one I received today came with version A08. The hard drive in both is the 160GB 7200 HD, the original says "ST9160823ASG" under device manager, the one I received today says "Fujitsu MHW2160BJ FFS G2". Both seem very quiet so I don't see much of a difference there. Does anyone know which is supposed to be better?
The original display said "CMO 1309", the one I received today says "LCD/2306. I will say that the new display is a huge improvement, much "cleaner" looking, like a haze has been lifted. I can't believe such different quality displays are used in the same model notebook.
So far I'm happy with the new one.

I don't know which part is better concerning the HDD. But does it matter if it works okay?

I've used both.. The Seagate has faster access times.. 16 ms opposed to 20 ms for the fujitsu. And greater burst rates.

EDIT: I was referring to the 5400 RPM ones. No idea about the 7200 RPM drives.
