Hey guys, I was on the phone with Dell for about 2-3 hours and they were just bouncing me back and fourth regarding a laptop that I just received. In the end nothing was resolved and I called again today and it got resolved and they told me that they were placed an order for a replacement laptop for me. I was really glad that they eventually fixed it but now I checked in my Dell account, I found a new order that had a total of $5000 for a M1330 replacement I assume. They had prices like $3600 for 4GB of ram on the list of parts.

What I am asking is that will I be charged this amount? All I requested was a replacement so it should be free right? All the parts had random amounts of money assigned them. Does Dell do this for other reasons?

no when the re-spec your system its charged at the reg prices.. then it will get wiped out for that amount when the old one gets back.. they dont take into account discounts coupons etc.. you should be fine

But they are giving me a higher spec computer most likely because of all the problems I have had with them. They bounced me back and fourth for about 3 hours on the phone and got nothing resolved. And one representative tried to escalate to management twice. And the price of my original system was a refurb and only cost me $800.
