I had an xps14 for approximately 2 months then had dell repair 5 times same prob.After waiting for techs to come and wasting countless hours on phone They finaly said theyre sending me a replacement,I said you discontinued the 14 so????They said You will get a brand new same or better unit.What does that mean?I paid top dollar for a 14 loaded core i7 gt425 2gb etc,they couldnt give me a straight answer.So a day later I see a xps 15 in my cart.How is that a replacement If I wanted a 15 I would have got one to begin with>Now I see they offered a guy an alienware 14x for a 3 year old laptop?!?!Mine was not even 2 months old.I have an m11x which I love but alienware didnt have a 14 or I would have got that.I didnt break my unit it was just bad.Why do I get what they give me,which for me is too big thats why I got a 14 in the first place.Please help,I feel so frustrated with dell I dread calling again,but I paid good money.Am I right?Thanks in advance.I put up with losing time waiting for techs hours spent on the phone all for nothing.I'm not asking for anything crazy I just want what I paid for,Its not my fault they canceled the 14 and mine was a lemon.I couldnt believe when I saw dell offered a guy a m14x alienware for a 3 year old pc.I am shot Dell beat me down with this one,Btw I have 4 dell and alienwares all paid for we work hard for our money! I'm sick of big corps taking advantage of good customers.......Loyalty...Right!

i think the guy who got the alienware refused the xps 15. just tell the dell ppl that u refuse to take the 15'' as in some ways, its not better than the xps 14 (form factor or something).

Thanks for your input con,I paid more for the 14 than a 15 I like the portability,I have a m11x and an m17xSo I got a 14 for the in between.I always order pretty high specs,I just cant believe they gave that guy a choice and they just sent me a unit without my input...Thats how they do it the rep said.Hey Im happy for the dude with the choice I just think I should get the same considering the circumstances.I love the 14 it was just a lemon in my case.I had 5 hdd and mem etc,still sitting here dead.I had to wait to see what they were sending me before I could even call them its crazy!
