I'm trying to install Windows XP on the MediaDirect partition (and have successfully done so with TinyXP) so as to replace MediaDirect with XBMC.
However, to do so I formatted the partition beforehand and installed TinyXP. This caused the laptop to only load XP (via both buttons).
I fixed this by using Bootsect and fixing the boot for Vista. This, in turn, caused only Vista to load on either button.
I've tried running "rmbr 3 4" from Dell Media Direct (in fact, I've tried [3,1],[3,2],[3,4] and [3,5] (which, of course, messed up my boot sector completely) but none caused XP to load anymore. I had to therefore resort to booting it from Vista's boot menu.
Can anyone think of how I can cause the MediaDirect button to boot the XP partition that now replaces MediaDirect's Windows Embedded?
