So i bought the above notebook knowing it has a issue with screen and it is out of warranty apparently retail stores only gives you 1 year warranty with xps machines in south africa.

I got it for bargain 300 USD in my country's money.

2/3 screen just displays white , and after hour it shows randoms colours etc.

I booked in at dell certified partner and phone dell and they they will charge me 700 USD to replace it??

A shop i used before said will be 170 usd which is fine . Full hd LEd screen have confirmed it with the shop.

But dell said they need replace the whole screen and bezel thats why its so exspensive?
Because otherwise none of the random pc shops will be able to help me if the whole screen and bezel needs to be replaced.

Hope someone can confirm that i can replace the lcd without replacing the bezel!
