Hi, everyone,
I've had a loose 'h' key for the past month, and about a week ago the damn thing broke off (one of the little handles is broken). I'd been using it by typing on the little rubber button that was still there because I haven't had the time to replace it. About 5 minutes ago, that came off (I type h by holding that thing in place), so now I have to get a replacement keyboard. I'm out of warranty so I'll have to pay.
On the Internet I've read that you can replace the XPS M1330 keyboard with a Vostro 1400's. I'd like to do this because I want a black keyboard![]()
1. Is this really possible? I've looked it up on these very forums and apparently it _will_ work!
2. Will Dell sell me a Vostro keyboard?
3. Is it okay to just get the ones off eBay?
4. Does anyone know a store in India (apart from Dell) where I can get either keyboard?

Thanks a lot, BlackRussian. Unfortunately, I'll have to wait weeks for it to arrive internationally (and pay loads for shipping) so I just decided to buy Dell's Extended Warranty and get them to replace the keyboard. Also, they said that the JM 629 Vostro 1400 keyboard wasn't available. Pity.
I think I'll buy one anyway. -
NP good luck
