    Hey Guys,

My Dell XPS 15 9560 (4K, i7, 1TB) doesn't seem to have audio crackling like others have mentioned but instead a ridiculously frustrating popping issue. Specifically, this occurs when loading a video on Youtube, pausing it to go work on other tabs or programs, then coming back to that video and unpausing it. There will be a incredibly tiny delay upon playback alongside a POP sound before the audio plays normally.

I can reproduce this issue over and over. Can anyone try this too so we can get a discussion going? I don't believe the other threads mentioned this specific issue I'm having. Likewise, I have updated all drivers as optimally as this forum has suggested so no qualms there. Thanks guys, really appreciate it :)

My inspiron 13 5000 does this when it goes to sleep and my speaker system is plugged in. I would love to figure out how to fix this as well!

    Which browsers have you tried?

Do you have the latest Dell audio drivers?

Have you went to the RealTek site to try their latest drivers?

I am unable to reproduce this with Firefox on my 9650 which differs from yours only in that my SSD is 512GB. The audio on this laptop has been the most troublesome component so far: I occasionally get crackling (especially on YouTube) and once, I was playing a game and the sound cut out altogether and wouldn't work in any other applications even when the machine was restarted (a driver reinstallation fixed it). I haven't been able to reproduce any of it yet.

I've reproduced this on both Firefox and Edge. I do have the latest Dell drivers. I have tried downloading the Real Tek drivers from their site, but upon installation, I get the Dell drivers back and the problem remains unfortunately. Thanks though, any other suggestions D:

Sorry to hear; I agree, the sound issues, followed by the screen flicker are soo annoying. I don't have audio crackle but I do hear that others do. I'll try driver reinstallation like you mentioned but I'm not sure that worked previously. Appreciate the help!
