I returned my L702X cause I needed a bit more graphics power.

So now the DPA has been credited back on the 9th, but my credit card hasn't.

So I called up the credit card company and there is no refund/pending transaction. I spoke to Dell, and they said they already refunded that amount on the 9th, when it was credited.

Should I just dispute it with the credit card, or just wait a bit longer?

Typically credits take longer to post then a charge. That's why when Dell issues a credit they state it may take 5-8 business days for the credit to appear. You have a lot more time on your side with the credit card company.

I'd say by this Friday if you don't see a credit then call Dell and if you get no satisfactory resolution then call your CC company and dispute the charge. :)

Indeed, they make it very clear it could take a while to post the credit. I got my PayPal credit very quickly when I did a refund, but direct with credit cards have taken longer.

Thanks for the info. At least I know I wasn't alone and it will take a bit longer.

This is just an FYI for others. Anytime a credit is posted to a credit card it takes longer because the credit card company usually deals with those last, why? Because the higher the balance you have on the card, the more interest you pay on that card. Remember that ! Credit card companies/Banks are usually in no hurry to post a credit to a credit card ! ;) :)

So if Dell says they issued a credit, they most certainly did. In the future make payments either thru PayPal or with a debit/check card as those credits usually get posted within 2-3 days of the initial credit.

I only suggest using a debit or check card with reputable vendors like Dell, Amazon, Newegg and other vendors you trust or have dealt with for a long period of time.

Also on that note, the DPA credit is processed fast because Dell wants you to be able to spend more quickly.

When I returned my L501x, the returns center received it on a Monday at 9:30 am. By noon, I had a full refund credited back on my major credit card. Some may just take longer than others.
