Hey guys... I had a XPS16 a while ago with RGBLED screen and loved it, but ended up selling it. I'm trying to get another one, but I don't see the RGBLED option anywhere. Is there any way to get it?

    Thanks

Sadly, the panel is discontinued. All you can do is buy the part from parts-people. They sell prefab sxps 16 lid assemblies with the RGB LED display.

    Like New LCD SCREEN: Black - Studio XPS 16 (1640 1645 1647) 16" Full HD RGB-LED (...

I was thinking about doing this myself-- but realistically, with 300-400 dollars I could buy a pretty kick- desktop panel... I find that I don't have much time to enjoy the notebook's LCD display as often when the notebook's LCD display is truly convenient.

They also have the same assembly, slightly roughed up, here: Refurbished LCD SCREEN: Black - Studio XPS 16 (1640 1645 1647) 16" Full HD RGB-LED (...

And even more roughed up, here: Used LCD SCREEN: Black - Studio XPS 16 (1640 1645 1647) 16" Full HD RGB-LED (...

    Enjoy

It's gone unless you want to buy a refurb. I think your only other option is the AW m17x r2.

Oh, that's a letdown. Thanks Gloomy, but yeah... I think I'll pass on the $400 replacement haha. Too bad, it was a beautiful screen.
Do you know how the FHD WLED (or w/e the best option is) compares to the RGBLED?

The colors aren't as strong as the RGB, but is more closer to natural. It's a nice screen.

I had an RGBLED and my replacement had a WLED. I couldn't get used to the color difference, but that's probably because I was using my RGBLED since august of last year.

It's better than most laptop screens. But if you're used to the RGBLED... you'll find it very lacking.

Yep, it all depends what your eyes are adjusted to. It's difficult to move from one another. :)
