cant understand why some SXPS16 lag thats much ??? i have 2 DELL "gaming" laptops (one old-school (go7900gtx) and my SXPS16 (3670) and my SXPS16 runs much faster in games. and no it doesnt lags at all.
i do believe it about this warmer i7 Cpu's....uses a P8700 2.53ghz core 2 duo and it runs pretty cool with its 25W full effect
ps.......i bet my left leg that the heat issue you have ( avin7000) is because your i7 cpu.....put a fan pointed below under you PC and you will get better gaming. -
KSMB: How about try running Prime95 + Furmark at the same time? Log the results with ThrottleStop and upload the log file to MediaFire
Even a 5 minute test is fine. I haven't seen an XPS 1640 that could run fully loaded at full speed without throttling like crazy. Maybe you got lucky and got a good one or maybe the games/applications you are running do not stress your laptop like some other users are doing so you never notice this issue. -
i run 3dmark06 like once a month (just for fun basicly) and no it doesn't gets very warm...........SXPS16 (with P-Cpu) is a damn nice machine.....sure i7 have Quad cores, but how often do you really need that effect ??? (maybe under very VERY hardcore games.........
by the way unclewebb......check this out when i recorded a sample from Crysis (no fraps)......high settings with good fps in 1280x800and with normal temp.
