So I have done some research and it seems I can use the front jacks on my M1530 for 5.1. The only thing is it appears I need the sigmatel driver. Heres a pic of what I'm talking about: http://forum.notebookreview.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=15382&d=1203476739

Is it possible for me to get that to work with windows 7? I don't think its compatible.

Any alternates or solutions please? :T I tried installing the drivers and I got an error message.

Though I have a 1340 with an IDT card, it works fine in windows 7 for me. It's just an option in the driver control panel.
