    S-XPS 1645 A06 BIOS Fixes

    For those who don't know yet, Dell has released a new BIOS for the S-XPS 1645 machine; A06. Since Dell wasn't very clear about what this system does other than:
    Here's what other users have found:
    1. This update DOES NOT fix the throttling problem (The discussion is still going here)
    2. DOES fix the iPod issue were some people were having problems syncing their iPods to the PM55 chipset (Discussion still going on at the Apple forums)

    *I can confirm that the iPod issue is fixed. Can everyone else confirm this?

    I agree the A06 bios update allowed me to sync my Iphone w/o any errors.

    I've been sync'ing my Iphone since A01 without a problem. Strange that some users have been experiencing issues though.

    You have been lucky. There is a lengthy thread on the Dell site complaining about the syncing issue associated with Studio XPS 1645 problems. Apparently this was an issue with most all manufactureres using an i7 processor with windows 7 64 bit.
