I bought a Macally external enclosure for a 1TB 3.5" WD Green drive. When connected through USB, SMART works and I can view the attributes. But strangely, when I use eSATA, then I cannot see SMART through any of my disk monitoring programs.

Has anyone successfully connected an eSATA drive to the Studio XPS series and managed to get SMART working?
