    Hi Friends,

    Did anyone knows which SSD will be compatible with my Dell Studio 1555 which was purchased in 2009. It says SATA hard drive, but is there a way to know is it SATA 1 or 2 or 3?
    I am looking to buy a SSD for same, which one is compatible and any suggestions are welcome.

    If its the PM45 chipset, i would believe it is SATA 1 right?

    Somebody correct me if i am wrong.

    Even if it was SATA 1 (which it's not), you should be able to use any SATA (1, 2, or 3). They are all reverse compatible; the speeds will be limited to that of the lowest common denominator. Even then, you most likely won't notice a difference between the various combinations.
