Hi folks,
My SXPS 1340 has recently developed a fault- the power button only seems to work intermittently, and my girlfriend seems to have the magic touch for it! Once its powered up it seems fine, as long as its plugged in, but its difficult getting it to that point! Also, when the lid is closed to put it to sleep, it kills the power.
It seems like a hardware issue to me rather than a software problem. Before I go digging around inside the case, has anyone else had a similar issue? Any suggestions for where to check inside?
In case it matters, spec is:
Core2Duo 2.4ghz
4gb RAM
Geforce 9500m
Vista Home Premium
LED screen.
Thanks!
Kyle

Well, it seems to be working normally for now (touch wood). I have a shedload of work to do in the next fortnight so the less time I waste poking around inside the better! Any suggestions for what the problem/solution could be welcomed, although I probably won't change anything until the end of term in a couple of weeks if I can avoid it.

Bump- still happening- I'm pretty sure its a loose connection as it seems to be triggered by it getting picked up. Can I be the only person this has happened to?
