Ok so after all the speculation it has finally happened. Head over to dell.co.in and customise an xps 16 and you can upgrade the graphics card to a 5650. Unfortunately this wasn't the complete redesign many of us were hoping for, but at least its something. Anyone know what the performance difference will be?

also available in my country of NZ

Performance and specifications are nearly the same between the 4670 and 5650. Primary benefits are lower power consumptions and DirectX 11 support.

Yea it's only $30 more than the 4670 over here in Australia...can't be much difference apart from that.

If the graphics card is the only thing new then I don't really feel the need to re-order mine.
All the 1647 problems seem to have been ironed out and who knows, the 5650 may cause new problems.
And isn't India a bit of a random place to launch? I was expecting it to be in the US at least. Updates for the UK and US might come with the new offers on Thursday morning. We shall see!

I hope it doesn't have the GSOD problem the 4670 has, I'm gunna make use of my warranty on that issue and I bet I'll end up with the 5650.

HD 5650 is a really reliable card, many many laptops having and have success with it.

What I find weird about Dell is how their sites for each country are configured, every thing is practically the same, except when customizing, their option selection menu varies.

Dell.fr has neither 5650 nor 16" RGB screen. Meh.
