Last week, I got my LCD replaced on my Studio XPS 1645, because the screen hinge was loose.
As you may know, the LCD is a single component housing the wireless antenna.
Im able to view the wireless networks available but Im unable to connect. I get the windows 7 error.
I wasnt having this problem before i got the LCD replaced.
I opened the 1645 up and the wireless card connections were connected correctly.
Initially I was able to connect to my network if I was in the same room as the router but i couldnt connect if I was in another room.
But now I cant connect at all.
Thanks!

The field tech probably didn't connect the wifi antenna. It's usually pretty easy to check, but I can't tell since I don't have XPS 1645. If you arn't up to it, call Dell and ask them to fix it.
Edit-sorry didn't read the whole post. I guess you have to call them up now. -
Wireless card is located in the bottom left corner, easy to check. -
Its connected properly
