Do you guys use Quickset? I installed it and now my on screen notifications (caps lock, keyboard backlight, etc) don't work. Also Dell sent me a replacement HDD, my current hard drive is a Seagate 500GB 7,200rpm - the one they sent me is a Toshiba with same specs. Is one better then the other?

The Toshiba is actually slightly faster, but the difference is so small you'd never notice it.

You need QuickSet, or some of the media function keys, as well as Dell power optimizations won't work. The newest version of QuickSet changed the Caps Lock notification because before the notice would kick you out of fullscreen mode when gaming. All the other notifications (volume up/down, wifi on/off, etc) should still work. If not try re-installing the newest version on the 1647 driver site, not the newer version made for the XPS 15 (though I use that one and it still works).

For the keyboard backlight, hit Windows + X, it will load up the 'Windows Mobility Center', which if QuickSet is working, will give you the options to adjust alot of Dell specific settings, including the keyboard backlight.
