this Laptop have everything i must say.

have recorded a lot of great movies with Windows media center and the quality is just super-great....(espcially HDTV movies :))...

the best thing is that it works without a real antenna cable (except for HDTV of course)....i use the small portable antenna who comes with the Studio Xps :)
..........amazing it have such a good reception for its size.

@paper....are you from USA ????? (if so) how does HDTV works there, are you able to pick the signal with your portable antenna or do you must use a real antenna cable.....

just curios......(in Japan i know they have some ultra-strong signal via their cellphones....have that come to USA yet ?? think the technology is called ISDB-T)

i'm in the USA... over-the-air(ota) digital TV is mainly broadcast in ATSC, usually in 720p/1080i during primetime, 480i/p during off-prime time...

what do you mean a 'real' antenna cable? antennas can be of vary sizes, and the size in related to the range and strength of the signal the antenna can 'catch' from the air

i still don't really get what you mean...

for my USB TV Tuner and normal TV ( in the living room), both uses a Coaxial plug... the antenna i have for my USB TV Tuner works with the normal TV too... and vice versa for cable that uses coaxial
