I've read that GDDR3 is better than DDR3 (regular) in terms of performance. Which one does the SXPS 16 with an ATi 4670 in Canada have?

No nVidia card uses DDR3 memory. Only the cheaper variety use DDR2, the better ones use GDDR3. System memory uses DDR2 or DDR3 - but for that case it makes NO difference which one you use. I believe Dell uses DDR3 for the system and GDDR3 for the GPU.

Well, S-XPS 16 has an ATi graphics accelerator, not nVidia, but the memory type is GDDR3 at 800MHz I belive.

Whoops, forgot that they use ATI. But nonetheless, you are right, it is GDDR3.
