I've seen that there are some people here looking to upgrade to the T9900. I have a T9550 (2.66 1066 6MB L2) with 4 GB RAM and a 256GB SSD.

My question is, when the T9900 comes down in price a bit, how beneficial would it be for me to upgrade to it? Would I see much of a difference?

Gaming-wise, the T9550 is already more than enough for the 3670, and the T9900 will be a waste.

if you search ebay a bit, you will find that t9800
ES chips are on sale for around $200 only.
but then again, p2.4 is probably better for prolonged life of motherboard of studio 16.

studio xps 16 is not designed to be a performance system like xps m1730, "xps" on studio 16 stands for extreme "pretty" system

How would you rate the T9600 or T9900 with the 4670 GPU?

Like Kevin_Jack said, it'll just be a waste unless you max out your CPU regularly or are gonna do heavy duty work, like video editing. Gaming isn't CPU intensive.
